I just submitted my application to extend my study permit today since it is expiring before my graduation date. The thing is, my study permit is not expiring till November of this year, but I just went back home for Christmas break and figured it would be easy to renew my passport and get all my documents that I needed while I was there.
I wanted to apply while my documents were still recent, so basically I applied 10 months in advance. My roommate applied 1 year before her SP expired and it was approved, and I asked an immigration consultant and she said there shouldn't be any issues, but I'm seeing online that a lot of people had issues when applying early.
Anybody have experience with something like this?
