If you are not participating money laundering, what's the problem of reporting the money you bringing to Canada to the customs? After all, only income are taxed.

For amounts greater or equal to CAN$10,000 you bringing to the country, have to declare to the customs/CBSA.

Children are not considered same as adult.

The answer of your question is maximum 20000 CAD for 2 adults.

"The answer of your question is maximum 20000 CAD for 2 adults."

If two adults bring in $20,000 ($10,000 each) they are required to report it. The answer is really a maximum of $19,998 (rounding to nearest $). Carrying the extra $2 could mean leaving the airport with nothing versus leaving with $19,998.
