HEY guys!! Ive been so busy getting all the evidence needed to the ERO and the ministers counsel. So i got my evidence together and all that because i was told that they need it 20 days before my hearing date. Just to make sure i had all the addresses right i Called the IAD and asked for them to confirm the addresses that i need to send them to. I sent the evidence on October 10 but i got a letter in the mail today and the address for the ERO says Suite 200 and the Rep told me 400. Can i call to have it sent to the right suite or do i call that a lost and send a new set to my ERO?

We were denied in March and my appeal date is next month so 8 months, and part of that was because of summer vacations...it’s a frustrating process but love will win!

Can I ask what you have sent as “proof”? We’re you denied on “marriage not genuine”? Have you heard how long after ADR before hubby gets passport request?

hi guys/anyone:
i am new here. and i just have a few questions:

1. what normally or likely are the reasons for refusal of OWP (openworkpermit) applications?
2. if one is approved on his/her OWP application, does that mean he or she has greater chances for spousal sponsorship application for PR?
i am in toronto now just trying to finish the one year cohabitation required to apply for commonlaw sponsorship.
so i need to know in advance what needs to be done to avoid refusal/denial.

Yea I was denied on marriage not genuine too.
As proof I sent:
- cover letter addressing all concerns that were listed in our notes
- phone bills
- Skype convo print out
- travel itinerary and passport print out from like 2011
- Digicel top ups
- Facebook posts
- western union reciepts
- post cards
- supporting documents from friends and family
- about 90 photos

I sent them in a binder, divided into sections and numbered so its easier for them to reference. I also sent them a index at the front of the binder.

I called the IAD for a question and the lady was nice enough to tell me how to do the binder. She said to do it just as your blue book is sent. With a title page, index and do not two side print your evidence. Make sure everything is single paged.

Thanks. I’ve got similar proof. Just need to print off pics and send it next week. I will do dividers as well to separate with a cover page. Have you heard how long after their decision before passport request? Wondering if we would be lucky enough to have it before Xmas holidays

With how these people work, it would be a damn miracle. Since mine is November 16th. I doubt it will be by Christmas, because you have to fill out forms again and send it to them. Most likely we have to redo medical sand police check because those have expired. So I'm thinking any where from 4-8 months after

So we filed our appeal appx June 2015. As much as I wanted to make it happen faster I could not. However, Feb. 23 my lawyer was notified that IAD had a morning slot open May 9th. Did we want it. I said absolutely. So we prepped our book. Dropped off proof n photos n bills etc. Was feeling good about our chance for testimony. My husband and I went over lawyers questions. Original refusal reasons. Age, religion, & culture differences.
All in all it took two hours. The CBSA officer's opinion was to set aside refusal and allow appeal. The Ministers Asst Deputy also agreed and told us congratulations! So she was to immediately notify visa office to continue processing application. I got emotional of course. They wished us luck. All nice ppl. The security officer as well.

For your ADR did they interview your husband too?
