My step-son is a permanent resident of Canada. He became a P.R. in 2014, and rather than stay in Canada to finish high school, he decided to go back to Mexico to finish high school there. I told him to stay here and finish school, but he didn't listen. Now, of course, he wants to go to college here in Canada, but the college basically told him his Mexican high school diploma is worthless and that he would have to go to high school here (he's 19). What are his options? Can he get his GED? Thank you.
