I'm also in a somewhat similar boat, as I'm not a study permit applicant, but a LMIA-based WP applicant. Waiting for an update from Abu Dhabi VO since March, 2020.

Ignore these processing times, they aren't correct or helpful in anyway. I applied for an LMIA-based work permit in March 2020. Everything was completed before the closure of Canada borders. Still haven't received any updates. Pakistan citizen, based in UAE.

I think it's a very good indication that you will receive the passport request soon. Earlier this year, some people I know whose medical was updated on the application portal received the passport submission request within a few days. Do post here if and when you receive the passport request...

No one can really say how much time will they take for processing. I know people with LMIA-exempt WP applications, who are waiting for over a year for a decision. My own application (LMIA-based WP) is under processing since early 2020.

My GCMS notes look exactly the same. However, there are some pages redacted in my notes, according to section 16(2)(c). Not sure what this means. Applied for notes in March, 2021 and received them in April, 2021. My application is over 15 months old now.

No update. But the processing times on the Check Processing Times page have increased by a huge amount recently. For me, the processing time being shown is 42 weeks. I had applied in March and it has been almost 8 months (34 weeks) now. Previously, the processing time being shown was always...

Nope. No news. No updates from IRCC. Still waiting.

I tried contacting them. They confirmed my application is in processing but wouldn't give me any further information as they provide case-related information only to the email provided in the application, which is the lawyer's email in my case.
