My husband received his PR card on Tuesday. The process is officially over. It’s been quite the ride and I am so glad it’s over lol. Good luck to everyone still waiting and I’m sending all my positive vibes your way.

It wasn’t an update email. It was an email sent straight from Hamilton VO. It basically just told my husband his application process was complete & congratulations on being a permanent resident of Canada and what his COPR number was and that he could use this letter to get any important things...

It literally all came in one email.

They emailed him and his COPR number was on the email and it said the letter could be used in place of his PR card for one year so I assume that was his COPR yes.

For us it just took a week and after that it was just days and we were done. We had our decision made on Oct 23 & Oct 30 we got my husbands COPR & his virtual landing was completed. We received emails plus updates in CIC & ECAS. We’re currently just waiting for his PR card to show up. Good luck...

They can literally ask for anything. They called us for an interview just because the officer had questions about my relationship I was in before my husband. I wasn’t even married before. So I suppose there’s a method to their madness. Even if it makes zero sense why it matters lol.

I searched but couldn’t find anything for my specific situation. Most of what I found was for people who applied inland and we applied Outland since he only arrived almost 3 months ago.
