Hi! Does anyone have idea how long it takes visa officer to assess eligibility for TRV as my friends status is "Reviewing your eligibility" for past 5 days.

TRV application to visit Canada and meet relatives for 07 days. " refusal statement... visiting Canada for 07 days: no friends; no relatives. " where as invitation letter from brother was attached. What do you see for such an application after review.

I know someone her TRV refusal has been sent for reconsideration. Do you think if visa officer had not gone through docs properly and after review her visa can be approved if refusal was based on document which was submitted along with initial application.

No doubt, reapplying is a lot easier. So IRCC decides based on request submitted for reconsideration after reviewing the application refusal notes or it is generally accepted by visa office based on simple reconsideration request sent by applicant.

Request for GCMS notes from IRCC and check whats the actual reason for refusal. You can do so from www.getgcms.com

They don't usually ask for passport if the application is refused. Hence, request for GCMS notes to check the actual reason.

Well, what I am trying to understand is I have submitted invitation letter from In laws. Then how come VO has mentioned no relatives. Apart from that, there is a refusal letter dated 2017 in my GCMS notes where as I never applied for any TRV prior to Aug 2019.

If VO has mentioned No relatives... and I have to apply again wouldn't that be a misdeclaration on my part.
