Were there any ghost updates when your security screening began? I've received a ghost update myself. Eligibility and criminality were passed already previously. I hope its not an update of the start of security screening or change of Visa Office.

How did they cancel the visa? Did they call your passport back and put a "cancelled without prejudice" on it? Regardless of the trivial reason for the cancellation, it could have let the Canadians do an extended screening process for your application.

Aren't CBSA notes same as GCMS notes? Why order them seperately?

Wow thats a long time. What reasons do you think could have caused the delay? Maybe country of residence? other factors that can contribute are: visa or entry refusals history, criminal record, military service etc

Ghost updates at this stage are the BEST sign for your applications. My guess is that both of you could receive PPR email within 2 weeks time. Let us know if there is any good news.
