    Residency obligation question

My question was simply about you spending any time between 2018 and Nov 2020? I understand now that you haven’t spent any time in Canada since your landing and moved once and for all in Nov 2020. I do have 7 months buffer but won’t be able to move before May as I am in the process of getting a...

    Residency obligation question

Thank you. Did you reside in Canada after your landing in Jan 2018? Or did you move once and for all in Nov 2020 and intend to stay for 2 years continuously to maintain the residency requirements? I am in a similar position and have about 7 months of buffer. I intend to move in the next two months.

Can I work for a WFH in the US for a Canadian company with a Canadian PR? I am on an H4 EAD.

Can I work for a WFH in the US for a Canadian company with a Canadian PR? I am thinking of doing this on an H4 EAD. Has anyone done anything like this before? Also, if I do so would I be fulfilling/contributing time towards residency obligations? That is living in Canada 2/5 years considering I...

How to Succeed in the Canadian Job Market ? [for a New Immigrant]

Just wondering - Why would you move unless you have a job lined up? Either you or your spouse? Landing without any job is risky unless you are moving from say the US, have that work ex and or have a lot of savings to dip into.

Yes, I know ppl think of Canada only when something goes wrong. However, for us since our PD will not...

What would H1B holders do if the H4 EAD rule gets revoked?

The decision would be tough but from our perspective it would be better to move to a country with a PR and get some stability/ peace of mind. Since, our PD is not becoming current in the next 20 years we would like to move and focus on building our life in Canada and leave this GC rate-race.

Canadian PR applying for US H1B Interview

Hey Vidhu- wondering what your husband ended up doing? Did he indicate he resides in Canada on the basis of his PR? Was it easier to get an interview date that way? I am on an H1B and on the same boat. Have a PR and looking for a date in Canada for H1B interview/stamping.
