My husband received the email to bring his passport to VAC (he's in the Philippines), does he need to make an appointment or can he just do walk-in?

Hello Everyone, The application was received in Sydney,NS processing center last 07/16/2018. I still didn't get an email for AOR. I am not sure how to follow up since I don't have a reference number to give. Any suggestions will be helpful Thanks
