Can I upgrade an existing application from regular processing to urgent?

I have applied for a passport for my infant relying on regular processing times. However, our travel situation has changed and we need to travel a bit sooner. Is it possible to change the existing application to urgent status by paying the extra fee? Will really appreciate if someone can tell!

I was asked for my CV, which seems to hint towards comprehensive security checks. I haven't ordered gcms notes, but I think its been 3 months since security checks started and I feel I'm in SS.

Well my AOR is Feb 11th, Medical passed on March 20th, biometrics request March 3rd, and then ADR request May 28th and since then nothing.
