i recommend you renew your PR if urgent travel is necessary. the timeline they say is 1 year from the time they start processing. if it doesn't happen you have all the right to call and they would give you a reason.

I would call CIC and cross check over the phone. I lost my landing papers as well, all you need to do is file a police complaint and go to CIC. they accepted my stuff, also I had an entry stamp on my passport.

Just done with my test today in calgary. Passed it and had an interview where they looked out for my date stamps on the passport to match the application. He said all is good and I will get a call in next 2-3 months time for the ceremony.

kids not allowed, i called up cic today. however you should carry their documents incase if the officer asks.

i sent it in may. received a letter in july that's its in process however the online status just showed application received. today got an email for test.
