    you can submit your passport and get it stamped that does not have any negetive effect on anything but your COPR will state you single so when they send you another PPR that will have your status as married and your spouse included in it as your dependent.

    Medical is mandatory for spouse. They would not issue residency without medical. They would be asking for you r spouse medical then. What does your status in your file show single or married ? if single then you have to notify them about your spouse and situation you are in.
