Change of Status from Student to Worker

It sounds like you have a lot of questions regarding OWP, and you did not even understand it clearly. I recommend you to call the CIC 888-242-2100 to ask about the details. As far as I can tell you is about your status. When you withdraw from your school and apply for OWP, your status is still...

Change of Status from Student to Worker

I can tell you that you are eligible to apply for the OWP. I had the same situation as you. My husband and I were students and I stopped my study to change visa from Study Permit to Open Work Permit. At that time we also got the Express Entry invitation, so I applied for both Permanent Resident...

Thank you rahul123b and kristacanada for the tips on landing. My application was approved yesterday, and I am waiting for my CoPR so that I can make my landing. I have one question regarding the landing. Do they check your current status in Canada, like Study Permit or Work Permit? I have...

Yes. I have about 5 travel histories. And I have even lived in a different country other than my country for many years.

I wanted to know where is my Visa Office, so I called the support centre yesterday. And they told me that my application was just approved and the will transfer my case to the relevant VO. I'm not sure but I guess it's Ottawa. I'm FSW-inland.

I can answer you about this question. My application was approved yesterday. Now, it's said they are preparing for the PPR letter for me. I got two updates on June 1st and 7th respectively. AOR is May 11th and IP2 is around May 27th. Hope this can give you some brief ideas.

When you log in to your account, it shows there is an update. However, when you find the detail, there is no change. That's what ghost update is.

Let me share my status with you guys. I happened to call the IRCC client support centre to check my progress this afternoon. The agent told me my application has just been approved and they are transferring my case to VO to issue PPR. Usually issuing a PPR takes less than two weeks, she said. I...

I have exactly the same situation. I'm in IP2 on May 27th, and there was an unidentifiable update last weekend. I'm still waiting for PPR. It's quite frustrating.

If they didn't ask for the spouse's PCC, they might don't need it. But if my memory is correct, I have read a thread that you should submit the spouse's PCC even though your spouse won't come with you. I suppose in that case there would be a space to upload that in the document list unless you...

Thank you Romrumrira. I hope I can get it soon. Waiting for PPR is a painful thing. I check my email as long as I have time.

I'm AOR: May 10th, MEP: May 19th, IP1: around May 20th, IP2: May 26th. I didn't know we can estimate the processing progress according to the wording, so I didn't check it frequently. Currently, my BC shows 'We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more...
