    Calling IRCC

Hi Guys, I have been trying to call IRCC to check my application status for sometime now with no success; the system automated message tells me the same information I see on MyCiC account. Then when I select the option to talk to an operator, the system says that I can't be transferred because...

Hi @ Amer2visit, do you know which date your application moved from BGC to waiting for final review? My application is also with LVO. Thanks

In principle, BGC starts after eligibility is passed. However, I wouldn’t worry about that much, some people pass eligibility in a few weeks after AOR and stay in BCG for ages while others pass eligibility after several months but finish BGC in a week or so. For this reason, I suggest you keep...

    When did you pass eligibility?

Those who Waiting EXPRESS ENTRY in Six Months and not finalized!!!!

I do not mean to depress you, but you are 100% in SS; normal BGC does not take longer than 7 weeks.

Judging from my & others' experience with LVO, getting a ghost update after 5 or so months in your CIC means eligibility passed and BGC initiated.

The other misunderstanding that many people have is that the 6 months average processing time starts at the AOR date, this is incorrect. The 6 months starts from the date of the completion of the "R10 Completeness Check"; this date can be found from the analyst notes in the last pages of the...

Ok, you're right that is the officer review with eligibility passed on 10th April, which means you have been in background check for over 3 months. I don't want to sound negative but people who are not in SS generally get PPR within 3-5 weeks of passing eligibility. However, there no point...

No I still haven't received PPR; I'm London Visa office but they have only opened my file recently and passed eligibility on 13th July. Are you sure you passed eligibility on 10th April? just make sure that you're looking at the actual pass by the officer not the "recommended pass" by the...

I am the same AOR as you; can you check the latest Notes in your GCMS notes (last pages) to see when you have passed Eligibility? This would tell you when your security check is supposed to start. Also, do you know which local visa office is processing your application?

Hi @Reykhan, What makes you sure that you're definitely not in SS despite the fact that you've been waiting for a decision for quite a while?

Yes, just stay positive and try to be busy with sth else. Little side note, BGC/security have nothing to do with the LVO; they are conducted in Canada by agencies like CSIS and CSBA. London VO are slow in opening the application that’s where they got the bad reputation from. Good luck.

I am 25th Jan AOR and London visa office; I passed eligibility a week ago and was asked to pay RPRF fee. Now LVO told me that the BGC has just started after eligibility was passed ; this is the last stage. There are two possible scenarios now; I get PPR in roughly anytime less than 5 weeks...

Ok, I hope you see some progress soon. There was a ghost update in my account on 13/07/2018, so I hoping it's a good sign
