You will definitely get your OCI card by then. Worst case e-visa can be done, generally you get it next day, so pretty quick.

Hopefully I will receive my OCI card soon, applied 4th Nov. Have scheduled walk in appointment for my wife's OCI - last week of Jan-2024. Does she need my original OCI card and Canadian Passport for the appointment?

I read somewhere on the thread that applications are sent back if original Canadian passport is included. If that's not the case then great!! Hoping originals will be sent back earlier, in no hurry for Surrender certificate but need originals back. Planning to travel to India on evisa around 20 Dec.

Not sure I understand the query completely. But your address is not printed on your passport. The address is for delivery only. Once you receive the passport you can pen down the address manually. There is blank space on passport where you have to write emergency contact details and your home...
