According to their website http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/information/times/index.asp it takes 50 days for online applications and 118 days for paper applications.

May 30th just renewed my wp for the 2nd time. Hopefully you won't have to do it.

Called CIC and they advised that my file is on a queue pending security since October 31th. How come that security did not even start at almost 18 months? This is ridiculous!!

If you did your medical exam upfront, it's similar to me. I was in the same case in the beginning of October. My medicals was expiring in November 26. The agent internally requested an extension of the medical results and it has been approved. My medicals are now valid until until November 2018.

May 30 inland applicant. I just called cic and they told me the same thing they told me back in the beginning of September. Everything passed except security that did not start yet. Does anyone know if it is possible that the security started but the call center agent cannot see it?
