    First PR Card

I am in Canada and was landed virtually. I've been here since 2015. I have never left since getting COPR. I applied for my card in paper application and I just received it last week. So it took 13 months

    First PR Card

The MHA that contacted IRCC was Federal not provincial. Immigration is a Federal issue. I only got the Provincial one involved, as it was affecting my Healthcare.

I think it means member of house of assembly. Basically they are MP's/politicians

    First PR Card

After MHA got involved my card application was approved magically a week later. Also got an email from the processing office apologizing for the delay and citing some internal technical issues as the reason. Getting MHA involved seems to have worked. Nobody should ever need to resort to this...

December 2019 Inland Spousal Application (With or Without OWP)

What did your MP say? Is your case complicated. I got mine in 13 months, but still waiting for card (contacted mha as well and waiting for reply). There was someone on this thread got theirs this year. It seems processing old apps have ground to a halt

Still no PR card, or any movement on my application, after a month (after being promised I would get it in 3 weeks). I have now contacted my MHA, as it is affecting my healthcare card. I have been told, MCP (healthcare card), cannot be renewed without card now. They renewed it for 6 months, but...

December 2019 Inland Spousal Application (With or Without OWP)

Wow, that took a long time. Congrats. Looks like the new way of getting the PR card is more efficient than the old way. At least we know they are working on cards.

It was the call centre in canada, the 1 888 number. It seems like the response is wildly different depending on what agent you get though. Guess i just landed lucky. Won't celebrate until i actually get it mind you

    First PR Card

So managed to get through to an agent this morning and confirmed that i am indeed landed. He checked my account and went away for a few minutes. Came back and said he has messaged the office doing the cards through a secure channel and marked my app as a very high priority. Also said i should...

Help!! How to update SIN to CRA?

Is it true you can only get a permanent SIN number if you are landed?
  14. russ6970

    First PR Card

Another thing. Getting a permanent SIN proves i am landed? You can't get a permanent one if your not landed from what ive read?

Yeah ecas doesn't show updates for new cards, but i have linked the app to my cic account and its not had any update since January

Thanks for the reply, but i don't have US visa. I do know that I can do that anyway as it says that on website. What I'm asking is, if the COPR document expires, what do i do? Do i just have to wait for card? I'm sure ive landed as i seen somewhere that i did, as they were doing virtual landings...

    First PR Card

HI, I'm in Canada and getting increasingly frustrated and worried about getting my first PR card. I received my COPR document on the 31st of December 2020. Applied for my first card early January of this year. Since then, nothing. I see my COPR document has an expiry date on it. Have tried...
