    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Updating---- Received the certificate yesterday in the mail---and, to my absolute delight----also got back the certified birth certificates (hers and mine) that I sent :D

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Yes, I did...well it was an old certified extract ordered in the very early 80s, but the only copy I had other than the plastic birth cards---will work on getting a new one from Ontario shortly.

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

O M G I *just* checked ECAS and is said "Decision Made" and clicked on it and it states the certificate has been mailed out :D Now, mind you, I'll be on pins and needles until it's actually in my hands----but really really happy right now! Funny enough it didn't post the processing date at...

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Awesome---I'll try pressing option 4, then 2, this morning and see if I can get through to a live person. Thank you!

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Interesting....I called the IRCC Ottawa number direct and I picked 5 as my first option as it listed that prompt for Proof of Citizenship applicants...I'm not replacing or applying for citizenship. Which phone number did you use?

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Good luck with getting the certificate sooner rather than later! I have heard from a friend of mine that dealing with the Italian government/bureaucracy is like trying to walk on water sometimes LOL I know what you mean....I would have LOVED to have dealt with an embassy/consulate only due to...

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Thank you *very* much for such a detailed and informative response. From my understanding in reading the checklist and how it pertains to the application I submitted, there would be no reason for Program Support...I was born in Canada in 1974 and moved to the US in 2004, she was born in the US...

Were you notified on ECAS when your application moved to In Processing, though?

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Perhaps the "PR" is not given as an option because somehow it signifies the application was submitted from outside of Canada....another way to deter non-Canadian residents from calling, I guess, since they can't get through the computer recordings lol I guess my only other option to find out if...

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

I check that religiously to no avail ;) Last update on that was that my AOR was sent in the first week of November.

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

@hawk39 well just tried calling.. The recording asks what I applied for. If you applied for Proof of Canadian citizenship, press five. So I pressed 5. Then I was given choices. If your application number begins with EP, press 1. If E, press 2. S, press 3. G, press 4. H, press 5. My daughter's...

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

Curious---did you send it from within Canada, or from elsewhere?

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

I have thought about calling them using the "backdoor" method from the States...but I assumed that since I'm still under the 5-months time, they wouldn't tell me anything....but I suppose it is worth a try. I can't see why they would have moved it to Program Support since (I believe) based off...

    Proof of Citizenship Tracking thread?

I'm hoping that's not what happened... although considering that it's now been 48 business days (not incl. weekends and holidays), I'm left to wonder.

Do I need to inform IRCC about this??

Another question, simply out of curiosity---I know that applications submitted from within Canada are dispersed to local CPC offices for processing depending on what type of application it is (and I would assume what province/city the applicant resides in). Applications for certificates of...

Do I need to inform IRCC about this??

Dear respondent, you do realize that this thread was in regards to informing IRCC about a change in my own citizenship, and the in processing time was an end side-question? If you are reading here every day 1000times about changes in an applicant's citizenship after filing, please point me to...

Do I need to inform IRCC about this??

In fact, the only reason why they ask you about your own citizenships is to make sure that you didn't lose Canadian citizenship BEFORE your daughter was born. It is in fact irrelevant what happened to YOUR citizenship status after her birth This was very reassuring---thank you for this info! I...

Do I need to inform IRCC about this??

I applied for proof of citizenship for my minor child born in the US (I am her mother and a Canadian by birth). At the time I filed the application, one of the questions asked was if I, as her parent, was a citizen of any other country but Canada----I answered no, as I was still going through...
