**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

In general, I believe it is just meant as a notification that they are going to process it there. It does not mean they have already started, only that the sponsorship application is complete and the PR application processing can start. Of course they could also just be slow to send you the...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

No, we did not get an email about the transfer to Vienna. I'm not even sure if it can be called a 'transfer of our file', since Vienna clearly did nothing other than send out the passport request and COPR. I'm guessing that once Mississauga approved us (DM), Vienna was instructed to give us COPR.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Only 12 days after receiving "passport request", I've just received my COPR in the mail! It's done! A few notes on ECAS: It's a mess and rarely means anything. We never got "In Process", so we went straight from "Application received" to "Decision made". They also inserted a line saying that...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Yes, I just got it today! That makes it the next business day after ECAS showed "decision made". I hope to have my hands on COPR within 2-4 weeks. What about you?

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

No, I haven't gotten the PPR email yet. And having looked around the forum, it sounds as though the account only updates after PPR.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Congratulations! :) We also just got DM in our ECAS, but the application details in the account have not updated and are still listed as "Background check: Background check in progress" and "Final decision: Your application is in progress.". Did yours update yet?

No that's fine, don't worry about it. Better too much than too little :)

Correct. And no, it's not a pop up, but it is a button. When logged in, navigate to "Check status and messages", then "View submitted application". That's where the upload button is, but only if documents have been requested! In general I wouldn't worry if you haven't received a request yet...

This email notification came immediately after linking, the actual message was a PDF-download in myCIC: Re: You have a new message in your account for application: XXXXXXXXXXX E-mail Notification This message is intended for the following e-mail address: XXXXXXXXX@XXXX. If this message does...

***JUNE 2017***OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

We got our request for Schedule A and the police certificate on June 29th. It's maybe worth mentioning that after linking, we didn't get an email requesting the documents outright. Instead, we got a short notification email telling us that we had a message in our myCIC account. That message (a...

***JUNE 2017***OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

I sent normal print outs, about the size of a post card. Much more important than the format is that they were "taken at different times and places" and "demonstrate that you are in a conjugal relationship" (quotes from the common-law sponsorship checklist IMM 5589).

No, use a separate piece of paper, as stated in the complete guide (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5289ETOC.asp): "If you need more space for any section, use a separate sheet of paper. Make sure you label this sheet with your name and the question you are answering."

Yeah, we did something similar. :) Just a few pages dedicated to describing the evolution of the relationship, especially since our relationship involved some long distance, moving between and within countries, so didn't have the most straight-forward timeline. None of the other questions...
