hey..yes mine is a family sponsorship case too...n no they never asked for any documents..i guess background checking took LONGER than expected....lets see ..m still waiting for some good news..!!

I think travel history matters..I was a student in canada for almost 2 yrs as well..they requested for my pp in Aug. and they still have it...But i guess now they ask for pp when the applications are at final review so u dnt worry...it shuld be done by march max. Gud luck..
