Great chances for Ottawa university. I cant say about Carleton bcoz they have accepted 8.5 CGPA guy and rejected 9.0 CGPA guy. But Ottawa is sure for you.

for which course did you apply? Bcoz for MEng courses the applications done after 31st JAnuary are deffered to Winter 2018 intake.

Its a competitive university with limited seats for some of the programs. Moreover the fees are high compared to other high ranking universities. I was rejected for fall 2017 for MEng Mechanical.
