From what i've seen 2 weeks is the regular amouny of time it takes to get it back. Did you wrote down the tracking number of your return envelope? If it was indeed sent back to you, thats the way to track it.

You can use same pictures as long as it has been taken within 6 months. Also follow the instructions from CIC regarding size and color details as well as the fact that has to have the stamp from the photo studio. Must be hard copy pictures (non digital). :)
