June 2017 Citizenship Applicants - (pre C6 rule)

Also, on the same topic. If need be, I can make it for that test, but I was thinking of heading out of country again mid January (I"ve been out of Canada for a month and a half). Is very recent travel records something they look at for citizenship tests and the process afterwards. For...

June 2017 Citizenship Applicants - (pre C6 rule)

Just got my test date a couple of days but its Jan 5th and I was planning to be out of country till mid Jan. Should I ask to reschedule the test? Ticket prices in early Jan are insanely expensive with New Years and all, so a pretty bad time for the test. If it was even a week later it would...

    MAY 2017 Citizenship Applicants

My application got returned as incomplete... missing photos seems like they must have slipped out of the folder when I was at Canada Post. Should I redo the whole application, or just send the application I sent but with photos? Page 1 of the application is stamped as recieved by CPC Sydney...

Messed up Date on my Citizenship Application and Got Returned

I'm back in Canada and about to send in a new application. What should I answer for this question, "I have applied for Canadian citizenship before"? The last application got returned for being incomplete and I've heard conflicting things about whether you should yes or no.

Messed up Date on my Citizenship Application and Got Returned

Yeah that's the issue, for the return application the only way I can sign it here is by printing and scanning it. Otherwise I'll have to wait till I'm back in Early April

Messed up Date on my Citizenship Application and Got Returned

Yes, thats what I"m thinking of doing. They additionally asked me to sign and date the return letter they sent me. My question is whether me resending the application while I"m outside the country is a red flag or not? I can easily scan and sign the letter they just sent me as well.

Messed up Date on my Citizenship Application and Got Returned

Basically my question is, if I"m resending the application with the correct date (mid feb) when I was in Canada, is it okay if I resign the application and the return letter they sent me from outside of Canada. Would it be a red flag if they see that I sent the right application with the right...

Messed up Date on my Citizenship Application and Got Returned

D'Oh.... I went through the application and double checked it multiple times... and obviously I didn't check the most obvious thing... the date of signing (I put it as 2016 instead of 2017). Everything else is fine, the application got returned. Here's the thing I'm outside Canada until start...

Do I need to Send in University Transcript? (I have the high school diploma)

Thank you! The High School diploma is enough (its a OSSD). So I'll have to send that in. I also paid my fee a few months ago (was going to apply late Nov but decided to wait so I have some buffer for eligibility). Is that a red flag, or should I be good to go.

Do I need to Send in University Transcript? (I have the high school diploma)

So basically, what I"m asking is, Should I send in my unofficial transcript for the last semester (I have official for previous semesters) or should I just not send in any University transcripts.

Do I need to Send in University Transcript? (I have the high school diploma)

The reason I'm asking is because I remember that they asked you to send in your University transcripts as part of the application, but I'm finding no mention of it in the document checklist or anywhere on the application (except for as meeting your language requirement) My Canadian high school...

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

Thanks for your extremely detailed reply. I'm also self-employed... although I do have a good number of Canadian clients... have filed corporate tax returns as well as paid GST/HST.... Thanks for letting me know about the travel... it looks like I'm applying with 1.5 months of buffer... and I...

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

So it's been over a month of buffer time... I'm thinking of applying in Early Feb (which is basically 5 to 6 weeks of buffer time after I became eligible). Is it a bad idea to take a month long trip out of the country after I apply? Will I miss important requests for further documents... and...

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

Thanks. I'm thinking of having a 15-20 day buffer as opposed to your recommendation of 1-2 months. Is that a bad idea on my part or is 15-20 days still solid.

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

Thanks for all the helpful advice. I really appreciate it. Booking my return ticket right now. Should 15-20 days of buffer time be enough or should I plan for 30-35 days?

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

What are the chances of issues with an application on day of eligibility if all the data for time out of the country is 100% accurate, because I've been very thorough with that.

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

Thanks for the answer.... This sucks but I guess I'll have to come back around holiday time to spend 3-4 more weeks here....

    Applying on Day of Eligibility

I'm eligible to apply today for citizenship and my application is ready, I'm going on a trip so I figure its best to do it before I leave (which is tomorrow evening). I've heard that with self-employed people they sometimes make them do a residence questionnaire, and I've heard of people saying...
