Hello all, my husband is preparing to land next week. I see the questions asked during landing interview are general and related to Application. What kinds of questions have you folks been asked? We're you asked any dates like dates you met family members or anything like that?

6 months after submitting my application I emailed the VO to ask for status info and they said my application was in queue to be processed. So I asked my MP to get my info for me. They looked into it and couldn't give me any more info than I already had. But a few days later my background check...

I had the MP look into my file after 6 months. I also emailed the VO and got a response within days telling me what stage my application was at.

You can call CIC in Canada to get contact info for your VO. You can email the VO or get your MP to look into it even if it's been less than the average processing time. I had great luck doing both after 6 months.

Hello, my husband send his passport to Singapore VO two weeks ago and today our MyCIC status changed to closed and approved. Does that mean the visa has been issued now? We are waiting for him to receive his passport back, hopefully in time for Christmas!

I would email the office that is processing your application. You can call the CIC office here in Canada to get their contact info or find it online. I have emailed several times and each time the Singapore VO responds within a few days with useful information!

Hi all, I am looking for some current information. Does a sponsored spouse have to show proof of funds upon landing? If so, can accounts in my name ( Canadian sponsor) count?

How long has it been taking everyone to get your passport back? Does Singapore VO send anh confirmation when they receive or send back the passport?

May I ask how you know it was dispatched? Did they send an email? Thanks!
