What have people's experiences been with getting their license? Particularly of interest to me if you are coming from the US and/or arrived in QC. It seems that my husband will have to basically take his entire road test again? Is that correct? I was really hoping that wasn't the case...

You received your PPR and sent those papers away, yes? If so, no matter what eCAS and myCIC says you should expect your CoPR imo. Mine didn't update to say approved until a day or two before I received my CoPR and some of it still hasn't updated!

It took us a week plus one day! Sent in docs on Monday, March 6 and received CoPR on Tuesday March 14. There was a shipping error though, our stuff got sent to the wrong place (according to the tracking number and Canada Post's website) so if that hadn't happened it could have been only a week...

Another update: If you recall, we got PPR last Sunday, sent the required docs last Monday, and they were received on Tuesday. As of Friday the tracking number on the return envelope we sent is active, so our CoPR is on its way back to us!

Got "Your background check was completed" and "Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details" in myCIC today! No message with details, though :)

I got Decision Made in eCAS today! This is probably really good... right?! :o

You should be able to email it, look up your VO on CIC and they should have contact info for you for uploading documents :)

It may be a good idea to at least send an electronic copy, that is what we did and it was accepted.

As mentioned above, our background check started. But I noticed today that the "We are waiting for documents..." etc. thing hasn't gone away, even though they got the documents which allowed them to start the background check. Should I be concerned? Has anyone experienced this? Also, for future...

Background check started for us today as well, also going through Ottawa (US spouse).

They received the docs they requested (CSQ, RPRF) and now we are waiting for an update.

Yes, my husband (who is the applicant) emailed them with his file # and UCI # asking how they want us to proceed and they replied less than 48 hours later. Maybe we were lucky with how quick it was!

We had to open it because they wanted us to send a scan before we did anything else. EDIT: Just wanted to add that we had specifically asked what they wanted us to do with it, and the answer was please open and scan it. It's always a good idea to ask if you're not sure :)
