    PNP - PR - Jan-Feb-March 2016 Applicants

It lists several steps you gotta do: 1) update ur profile with any changes they dont know about; 2) find out if u need a visa (most do); 3) prepare documents (passports and photos); 4) send them w/return envelope. So yes, u do need to make photos again.

Got the passport request today! :D Requested for an extension though cause we're travelling. Btw my BG status is still "Not Applicable" and no changes in eCAS. Anybody has any idea if I can use anyone else's address to get passport returned to? Mine is not too safe to receive this kind of...

Hey guys, do you think it might be possible to stamp a PR visa in passport in person (instead of sending passport by mail)? Is there any way to speed up visa stamping after you get passport request?

Not necessarily. Some get it, some don't. Usually if you've done your upfront medicals less than 2 months before your expected MR date, you still get MR. I did a month before I received the request. Are there any Jan applicants here, who has there Background status "In progress"?

Make screenshots of exactly every step of your attempts to link application, showing all the fields filled in correctly. Save those screenshots into a pdf file and attach it to your message via Case-spec. form. That's how I did it. They linked it in a cpl of weeks. And cancel representative if u...

Could you, please, share your timeline? When did you pass medicals (upfront?) & when did your Background check changed to "In progress"? Has anyone else has Bckgr check in progress already? I'm just wondering how long it takes for the status to change after Medicals passed. I have no changes...

NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2015 CIC APPLICANTS

You can request extension using "Case-specific inquiry form" & providing them with proof why you can't send passport within 30 days. They should provide the extension for as long as you need it (usually by default they give extra 30 days). As far as I know this is the only way to contact IRCC...

Pretty sure you have to apply for extension of your WP up to 30 days before its expiry, so you don't have to worry about it until April 8th (unless your conditions of stay have changed). You can, probably, also apply for bridge work permit (if you're in Canada).

If my "Due Date" in GCMS notes for security, criminality & medicals is March 17, 2017 - does it mean they're gonna make a decision by then? Is there a chance it's gonna happen faster? Anybody knows anth about that? Thanks in advance.

PNP- PR ( CIC applicants SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER 2015)

Hi guys, Please, help me out with an advice: If my "Due Date" in GMCS notes for security, criminality & medicals is March 17, 2017 - does it mean they're gonna make a decision by then? Is there a chance it's gonna happen faster? I've just passed my medicals a couple of weeks ago. Thanks in...

We've visited doctor Lacni at Mediclinic on 8th street in Saskatoon. I called the clinic just a couple days before the visit, but sometimes you have to wait longer. We've payed $50 each to book the appointment, which was later included in the total fee ($333 per person). After exams are done it...

In my case I did e-Medicals upfront. I have no idea if that will speed up the total processing time though, but apparently it speeds up medicals processing. Just make sure it's upfront e-Medicals, not just Upfront medicals (I heard there's a difference). You can do upfront e-Medicals at any...

It might speed up your application by a couple of weeks, but do it (e-Medicals) a couple of months before your expected MR - in about 7-8 months after AOR - to make sure they won't expire.

Quit job before landing. SK PNP

OK, but would that prevent me from landing if I say "no"? Supposedly I would have Immigrant visa stamped in my passport by then.

Quit job before landing. SK PNP

Hi everyone. I'm waiting for PR after applying under SK PNP category with job offer. I'm currently working for the employer that has provided me with a job offer. But what if by the time I go to the border for landing (with Immigrant visa) I loose the job that I was nominated for? Are...

Can't you just apply for bridge work permit? Your AOR should allow you to do so if you are waiting for PR within Canada.
