Hi guys, do you know how long it may delay if add a spouse? My application was received on May 12/16; started processing since Aug 2/16. I added my spouse on Jan 30/17. Until now, I have not received the medicine exam request yet. It is 17 months now. :(

I am May 12, 2016 as well. I have not received medical exam request yet, but my background check is in processing since this March. Have you done your medical exam already?

Yeah, I have several friends applied 1-2 months earlier than me and they all got their ME at around 12th month. They have mailed out their passports already in this month. :(

I am May 2016 applicant and I added my husband during the application. They sent me an email on June 08 this year asking for more documents from us and we sent everything on July 1st. No medicine exam required yet. 15 months already...

My husband came to Canada through an open work permit and when he applied, he did the medical exam which was required for work permit. Does anyone know whether he still needs to do the medical exam for PR?

Same here. I just checked mycic and it says the same "We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details" and on the home page it says "Your Action is Required", but there is no messages or emails or anything...

My friend submitted on April 08/16 and got her MR in exactly one year April 08/17. It says they received my application on May 12/16, but I still haven't got MR. Waiting for the email everyday~~~

Hi, that I am not sure. I don't have people with the same situation around me. Mine is granted for another 3 years. I guess if they don't give you another 3 years, you will and should at least get back the remaining years that you should have been granted caz you pay for re-application again...

Hi, the best idea will be to renew your passport before you apply for the work permit, but my home country doesn't allow us to renew passports if your passport has more than 6 months validity. So my case was: old passport would expire in April 2017, so there were about 1.5 years of validity...
