I am from the US and I just traveled last week with mine and had no issues at all. It is a risk, but if you have nothing else that makes you inadmissible and are traveling with all your documents you should have no problems. I also traveled almost once every three months with my prior work...

I was in the same boat as ringlands. My work permit was issued to me on August 02 - but nothing ever came in the mail. CIC will not do anything about it for 6 weeks. Once 6 weeks hit I called them and they re-issued me my OWP and I received it within 4 days.

Well today was the 6 week mark. Called CIC and was told she would send a message to the case processing centre (Mississauga) and that it would be mailed to me again. She would not give me a time frame other than "the coming weeks" >:(

Mine was issued to me on August 02 and it STILL has not arrived in the mail. I am in Edmonton so it should have been here within days. My 6 weeks is up on Tuesday....hopefully you are not in the same boat as me because having to wait an extra 6 weeks is incredibly frustrating.
