I'd say "No" to that question 6(e). It's irrelevant to your situation. If you've applied for a visa and you were denied and given a refusal letter, you'd say "yes" to that question. I hope that answers your question. Good luck with your application.

Is it harder for women to sponsor their spouse?

Aylar10, Your history with your husband sounds very genuine and sincere to me and I'm sure CIC will see it that way. There are two parts in this application. Your part and his part. Have two cover letters, one from him for his part and one from you for your part. The letters will narrate...

Can we talk about condition 51? (Discussion)

It is true it protects the sponsor, but it also places a vulnerable position on the sponsored person. Imagine a spouse arrives in Canada and has to endure an abusive relationship because he/she is fearful they may be sent back. It is dangerous. The government says if the sponsored person can...

They're legally separated since they have been living apart for more than a year. If there's a printout of an email communication with him about the separation is also helpful. A sworn affidavit is helpful. I think they just want some paper trail for their record. Good luck.

Do We Need A Lawyer for spousal sponsorship application ?

Having a lawyer will not have any influence on CIC decision making process. All lawyers do is to have their assistants fill the application and mail out. If you can do that, do it. Lawyers may also write an email asking the status of the application. Again, anyone can write the same email...

Landing as PR, with kids who already are Canadian citizens?

They should be with you regardless which passport the kids use. Customs aren't that strict with kids. Any officer can process all three of you at the same time even if you had to go separate lines.

    Havana, Cuba

You don't need a lawyer or consultant to charge you a lot of money for something simple. I've been in Canada for over26 years. I've sponsored my mom and siblings. I know what we went through. I made a mission to help anyone who needs sponsorship help filling out these forms. Over the years I...

Is adding additional page to sponsored spouse questionnaire page necessary?

I have assisted over 200 such applications. All of them have been spousal sponsorship. All except 3 have been rejected. When to apply spouse sponsorship

Yoi could apply as soon as you get your PR card. Since you cannot produce an "Option C printout" or "Notice of Assesment", just include letter of employment and explain your situation in your cover letter. You'll be reunited with your spouse sooner rather than later. Good luck.
