Will Canadian Work Exp. count as Foreign Work Exp.

If you worked in Canada, it was Canadian working experience. If you worked outside of Canada, it was foreign working experience. I don't know which part is so confusing for you.

Well...kirtivsingh, don't know how did I get you so triggered, but alright. First of all, I do love Canada and have a great life here, it is certain aspects of the immigration policy that I am often frustrated with, but hey, I guess I am the only one huh? I am not trying to discredit the great...

"Ray of hope" thread for 41st draw.

This stupid thing should never apply to anyone already employed in Canada to begin with. How many is considered "too many"? . Forget about LMIA, few months ago when I trying to hire an intermediate accountant for my team, 1/3 of resume we got are with completely irrelevant credentials, people...

Aside from the fact that Canada is just a quarter of US GDP, yeah, Bay St is basically Canadian version of Wall St. In general, turnover rate is considerably low at senior level of the established investment banking divisions or institutions. And most, if not all, of those positions are promoted...

Your credential is quite impressive, and from my experience, your compensation should at high 100k figure or 200k range. (if your "net" means after tax, then it is ok). I myself just a lowly CPA at low 100k, but I consider myself extremely lucky. Other minority CPA friends of mine with years of...

Nothing is a sure thing, since we are all guessing, I may as well guess something slightly on the positive side.

485 would be almost a definite ITA, I would say 475+ would have a "fair" chance.

With all due respect, you are still in the honey month phase. I am not trying to discourage anyone, just speak of the truth since I have been in Canada for 8 years now. Considering you are a white Caucasian with very limited time here, you are really not in the position to make the claim that...

Congrats, welcome to Canada. The job situation is mostly depends on the industry and the type of the position. And of course, depends on capabilities of the person, there is no definitive result for everyone. If your trade is very technical focused, such as high level engineer or technician, it...

"Ray of hope" thread for 41st draw.

This entire LMIA is a rotten trash left by the previous government, it should never applies to anyone who is already reside or employed in Canada. Just like Mead said, just because some PR or Canadian is willing to work does not mean they are qualified to work. This LMIA nonsense made a lot of...

How do CIC select Eligibility program ? FSW or CEC

Why would you want to go FSW so badly? You could score far more CRS points by adding a year of eligible Canadian working experience. And once you are in the EE, CRS is the only thing matters.

How do CIC select Eligibility program ? FSW or CEC

Are we talking about CRS score? Working experience should be calculated the same way under CEC and FSW. I don't see any difference.

How do CIC select Eligibility program ? FSW or CEC

Little bit confused tho, how can you have 40 extra points for being CEC?

"Ray of hope" thread for 41st draw.

For CIC, seems like the "degree, diploma, certificate etc." only applies to the ones issued by a "traditional education institution". But they just willingly ignore the value of the certificate itself. Not only CPA requires a significantly high professional skill level to pass multiple exams, it...

Yes I did, and yes I am. Everywhere on the CIC website, including the ECA definition seems fit for CPA and ACCA designation, and common sense as well. But nope for CIC officers apparently.

"Ray of hope" thread for 41st draw.

These certificates and designations basically mean nothing to the current CRS score system. I have a Bachelor degree from University of Toronto with CPA and ACCA designations, so I chose education level as "two or more diplomas and certificates....." option which is 8 points higher than a...

"Ray of hope" thread for 41st draw.

I got ITA and submitted my APR, after 150 days they updated my CIC online and gave me a Refusal Letter saying there is a change in my Education that brought my CRS below ITA cutoff. So I ordered a GCMS, and on the 42 days after AOR, an officer cut me 8 points back to Bachelor level and my CRS...

"Ray of hope" thread for 41st draw.

The score system has no regard to Canadian education and professional certificates, this is really sad. I spent years to get my Chartered Professional Accountant and ACCA designation, and yet, they are not even counted as additional "diploma or certificate", that how they refused my first ITA...

CRS update before 3 years of foreign experience, accept ITA or not ?

There is a clause specifically stated that an application must remain eligible both at the time of ITA and eAPR. However, there were some people got A11.2 approved just based on eAPR date, and some didn't. So make the decision at your own risk.
