    urgent help

Thanks. I see some people who agree with what you posted and others who cite this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1184&top=16 so I'm confused. I might give them a call just to double check. Seems to be conflicting info on their website.

    urgent help

Bit off topic but where did you find this information? My COPR document doesn't mention anything about needing an eTA at all... I keep seeing people say we might need one though :/

Permanent Resident fee include the travel visa?

Does this mean that an eTA is required for those whose passport wasn't requested (visa exempt countries)? I keep reading conflicting information about this. CIC seems to say you don't need one if you have COPR but others say we need it...

Manila Visa Office Family/Spouse Timeline (English)

To answer my own question, we sent the documents to the VFS (visa centre) in Seoul on 1/11 and received them 1/23. Applicants living in Korea must send it to the visa centre, not Manila, to be processed. We sent the following items: - copy of passport - 2 passport pics - PPR e-mail print out...

PPR and how to complete in Korea

Hi everyone, We got PPR a couple days ago and in the email it gives some instructions on where to send our final documents. Koreans are visa exempt so it requests a copy of the passport, two passport pictures and a completed form. It then asks us to send them to a visa service centre in Seoul...

Wow. My mind is blown. Got it at work a couple hours ago and didn't realise that's what it was until I had time to sit down and re-read it. Can't believe it... I hope more people get theirs today!

*NEW* MANILA VISA OFFICE Philippines SPOUSE/FAMILY TIMELINE

Did you order GCMS notes? We applied in July and it looked like no one really looked at it until the start of November.

I bet good news is coming soon for a lot of us. Quite a few applications went to background in progress just before the new year so perhaps we'll all get approved at the same time. Fingers crossed!

Manila Visa Office Family/Spouse Timeline (English)

Yeah, it's frustrating for applicants from Korea and Japan for sure. We are in Seoul as well. My contract finishes at the end of February so we are hoping to leave together on March 1. Not sure if it'll happen but fingers crossed. Good luck to you! The process is moving so fast these days.

Manila Visa Office Family/Spouse Timeline (English)

Yes, I managed to pick that up on the other board so I'm trying to keep calm and not get my hopes up. Of course, I've checked the website and my email about 200 times since I noticed the change! My hope is that they're waiting for the new year and later this week we'll receive PPR :)

How to get a Canadian virtual Mobile No. for Job hunt while abroad

I just posted this same question on fb yesterday haha. I used Fongo and thus far it's given me a free number and voicemail, I haven't tried to make outgoing calls yet but perhaps that's something you pay for.. I had trouble signing up for it abroad because Korea has strict Internet security so I...

Thanks so much for the kind words. We don't have the most straight forward application but tried our best to assemble our package well. We haven't received the pre-arrival services email but waiting on it daily haha. The doc request was for a personal explanation of a DUI on my partner's...
