Finally landed yesterday evening after receiving my landing papers. Got PPR 2nd December and received landing papers 10th December. Just over a week, super quick. At the border it was super smooth, there were a few others doing their PR also. Officer was friendly, just asked a few questions...

Any other Return Envelope Trackers activated recently? Received PPR 2nd December. Desperately need landing doc by next week.

Perfect, I hope mine is activated tomorrow. Unless there is a problem with my Passport, I had just under 6 months on it. But am Inland, so hopefully not a problem.

So I got PPR email the other day (Friday to be exact) but online status when I log in still says in progress. Whats this all about and is it the same for anyone else.

I sent copies of current one. Its just under 6 months, I don't see why I 'need' 6 months when I am already in Canada on a Work Permit, but have also emailed them with the tracking number and the situation and see if they respond in saying I need to get a new one or not.

So just seen that it states that my passport needs at least 6 months on it. I was told I will be fine as long as long as my passport was valid. What should I do. Just send off passport copies as usual? or apply for another passport, (which could take a life time) and delay me in receiving my PR...

How long did it take to receive letter/certificate (or whatever it is) in the mail after sending off PPR response. I am going away 17th for 3 weeks and desperate to get PPR pretty much right now!

When did you apply for your GCMS notes. I haven't done so yet, I dont know if its worth doing it.

I doubt it, the acknowledgement letter is just saying that you filled out the answers to a satisfactory level to be read and reviewed by and officer for consideration of maybe becoming a permanent resident. Why do you need an approval in-principle letter?

Nice one! What kind of message did you send to them? I may do the same. I have tried all sorts of avenues to speed it up.

Had anyone who has not received their PPR email checked their online application status and if anything has changed?

Are you from a Visa exempt country? I believe if you are, you just have scan the pages in your passport. I am from the UK and have had friends who received their passport requests, all they had to do was scan the pages in their passport.

Spoke to an agent on the phone as I am now past the 16 month mark. Seemed quite pleasant, he said he has now emailed the office to tell them my application is past the 16 month mark. Maybe this gives them a nudge? Who knows.
