Yes it was the PPR request letter that CIC sent me, since I'm visa-exempt they only want copies. I really hope I don't have to re-send them again. I'll just wait to see what they come back with now. :D

They got it on the 14th Feb. I didn't include an express envelope, just a standard. They wouldn't send to my address anyway because it's not in Canada. I was in such a rush to get this sent off that I didn't read properly. :(

I just got my passport request email today! So for British citizens, I thought we were visa exempt. Apparently not since I need an ETA to travel via air do I have to send my original passport or copies to London?

Yeah that's what they do. If you link up to your account then you will be able to see when it's been done.

I just checked ECAS and there's DM on there but not the account. What's the next stage? to wait for an email? If they haven't asked for an interview and medical has passed then this is a good sign? :o

It was so frustrating trying to link it up, in the end I had to google how to do it. Worth it in the end though!

I did manage to link the account eventually. I used the application number, last name and last time I put number of family members as 1 but it was actually supposed to be two (me and my spouse). Left out the passport section blank and that helped me.

Hello! :D They start processing your wife's part of the application once the sponsor's eligibility has been reviewed and approved. If you put an email address down on your application then they'll message you once that's done.

I don't think this is entirely true. CIC seem to have slowed down with processing applications. I didn't get my BC until recently. I would hope if they have any doubts that they'd ask for information instead of an interview.

I sent my original cards and plane tickets etc. It would be nice to get them back, but I doubt I could put in a request for that from CIC and it's not that big of a deal if I can't.

Hopefully it doesn't take them long. I've only lived with my family, then moved out on my own with my wife. Never had any trouble with the police, and hold down a full time job. I sent them every bit of proof I could think of to prove my relationship is real. Been reading a lot on this website...
