Lexis ! You don't really need to worry, even if your visa expires, make sure apply for cancellation before the expiry date and once its cancelled, you would have 30 days grace period to be in UAE. So until that am sure you will get back your passport and will be all good to fly without paying...

Hey Arun, For your reference, I got passport request on 9th July and submitted my passport in person at AUH embassy on 13th July. Visa got issued on 13th August and I got it back on the 15th August 2015. Hope this helps.

By grace of God!! I have received my passport today with visa and COPR. It was dispatched on 13th and recieved it today the 15th. So yes it does takes at least 30 days for stamping. For me it took exactly 31 days. Those who are waiting ... Again be patient and you will get it soon for sure. :)...

Congrats to LAV!! seems like they are now going as per first come first serve basis. So those who applied on 12th got it yesterday or today. hopefully we can expect something in come week.
