JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Back again with a few more questions. :) I am preparing for my landing in Toronto in early December and am trying to understand the landing process and what comes afterwards. I have been told through this forum that the PR card is automatically sent to you after landing and that it takes 4-6...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I have a few questions about what happens after COPR and during landing that I hope someone can answer. :) I am currently in Canada as a visitor but plan to leave next week to visit my family in Florida. I initially planned to stay through the holidays and return to Canada to officially land...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I did put my U.S. address on the application, but it came to my sponsor's house. I think this happened for someone else as well who posted a few days ago - their COPR was sent to the SA. I'm not sure if this was an error on CIC part's or if its typical for it be sent to the SA.

WOO HOO! We received my COPR in the mail today (it came to my sponsor's house in Canada, where I am currently "visiting" so that worked out well!!). Just to recap for reference: I'm a U.S. citizen. We submitted our application on June 1, 2016. Received AOR on June 22. SA on August 2. ECAS...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi all!! Logged in to eCAS today and it went from Decision Made on sponsor side (a change from a week ago) to also say Decision Made on Permanent Residence Application Status column too but no updates on the details besides Med results received- same as it's been. Does this mean we have COPR...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Some questions for the group: 1. My wife just had her passport renewed- she is my sponsor. The new passport has a different passport # than her old one that we submitted with our application. We have already received SA, so do we need to notify CIC of the new passport number? Or is this...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Woke up this morning to our SA in my wife's email! Woo hoo! What a happy Tuesday! ;D This is our timeline so far: Application sent June 1, 2016 App received (per FedEx) June 2 AOR received June 22 SA received August 2 So that's 61 days for us to get SA, a little over the average of 56 days...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

We have same timeline (AOR on June 22) and are still waiting on SA. I just checked it again and checked here to see if anyone had gotten it yet! Oh, the waiting game... ::)

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi friends! I'm not sure if I'm reading this right (I hope I am!) from the other posts but just signed into ECAS today and for the first time could access through the UCI and my wife's info (the Canadian- I could previously only get any information by using my info as sponsored spouse) and it...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

One more question- how do you know/find out what visa office your application goes through if its family class and it goes to CIC processing in Mississauga? I'm a US citizen....so would this be New York? Then I can fill out this spreadsheet! :)

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hello! We sent our application on June 1, 2016 (which was not nearly as organized in terms of cover letters & tables of content as the first posters....yikes, now I'm worried)- it was 104 pages total. I am a US citizen, my wife is a Canadian citizen. It was received per FedEx on June 2, 2016...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

We just submitted our application for PR this morning via FedEx. My wife is Canadian, I am a US citizen. We sent off 104 pages total. Now to figure out how to not spend the next several months obsessing over whether everything is correct and we provided enough documentation.... ??? Is there...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hoping to get some advice/insight on this....I am currently in Canada as a visitor, visiting my wife while we were working on finalizing and submitting the visa paperwork to submit. We just got all the pieces we needed today! I had planned to stay up to the six months and if we didn't get COPR...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hello again- I have another question I'm hoping the wisdom of the board can help me figure out. :D Does the outland application have to be sent from the US or outside of Canada? My wife and I had been hoping to submit this before I arrive on Sunday (as a visitor) but we've hit some delays with...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I have a question about the four photos that you have to send along with the application. Of all the pieces that have to be pulled together, this is seemingly the most simple but I am getting hung up on where exactly I need to get these done. Are these passport photos, essentially? Or do you...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Thanks for this! I thought so too, given that when I flew in to Toronto in late January from DC I was really surprised by how easy it was to get through. I didn't even have to talk to a person- just scanned my declaration card at a kiosk, answered a few questions on the screen, and off I went...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but I have a question for folks who "visit" their spouses in Canada while waiting for processing of outland application. I am planning to come up to Canada in mid-April, and at that time will just be bringing two suitcases with me, and my cat. Some...
