Had my oath ceremony on Monday (Jan 27). Went on pretty well though it took longer than expected but finally got my certificate. Will apply for my passport tomorrow and will finally be done with this entire process.

Congratulations!! Your situation is almost similar to mine. 8 years in Canada and finally done with my test. I've been on open & closed work permit, foreign worker, permanent resident and now almost a citizen. Waiting for oath ceremony. :-)

Yes all good. The test was straight-forward. If you studied the "Discover Canada" guide a couple of times, you can easily pass the test. 15 is needed to pass out of 20 questions. I got all 20 right :-) It took about 5 mins to finish the test. For the interview, they didn't even ask for the copy...

I did contact the IELTS folks. They said they keep TRF which are valid only for two years and not more. I did see someone else reply to my post that the copies should be okay so am going to go in with my fingers crossed.

Hello folks, i have a quick question. I have my test on Dec 5, 2019. I however have only a photocopy of my IELTS that i had submitted with the application. I do not have the original - i lost it somewhere i suppose. Is it okay if i take a copy of my IELTS when i go for my test?

Landed on April 16, 2016. And no I was not asked to resubmit pictures. I called them today and the agent confirmed that my card was mailed out today. Hopefully I'll get it in the next few days.

I'd recommend you to request your wife apply for extending her work permit. Its better and safer that way. Even if you get the PPR and COPR before May 30, it does not matter because when you do the landing, the work permit will become invalid at that point. So - apply for extension.
