Hmmm, that doesn't make sense to me at all... Is your work contract ending soon? Did you employer provide a letter stating that you will have continuous employment if you receive PR? It still wouldn't explain the reason given by CIC, but it would explain the rejection.

It is NOT necessary. I think the majority of applicants probably do it on their own. If you can take the time to do research and fully understand the requirements I would recommend trying it on your own.

I experience it differently, so I wouldn't read too much into that. I've received a few ghost emails but none of them came before a draw.
