9th Draw Fingers Crossed - Hopefully we see CRS points below 450pts

The Australian system is a lot better organised and clear.

9th Draw Fingers Crossed - Hopefully we see CRS points below 450pts

Personally I think that's the way it should be, if your English is competent / excellent you should be able to do all 4. It's tough for non-native speakers.

    How to get Job offer

People outside on Canada, don't feel so bad! I'm working in Canada, have an employer happy to sponsor me but because of the LMIA system I can get the points on EE. It’s a ridiculous system that’s trying to cram everyone down one route despite them being completely different.

    British and IELTS... typical score?

Very interesting! I don't get how a native speaker would get less than an 8 in speaking, reading or listening but I guess writing can be difficult.

    Re-evaluation of IELTS exam

Are you looking to push writing up to 7? If so, it might be worth retaking rather than asking for a review for a whole level.

    British and IELTS... typical score?

For speaking there's really no reason why any native speaker should be getting less than an 8, probably a 9. Listening should be ok and reading the information is right there in front of you. Which just leaves writing which could potentially be tricky.

Anyone from 7th feb general training test?

Thanks! Advantage of having English as a mother tongue.

    British and IELTS... typical score?

I never said it was, I have virtually the same attributes as the OP so just gave mine as an example. If your mother tongue is English I would say 8+ is reasonable to expect, 9 in speaking.

Anyone from 7th feb general training test?

They won't give you a reason other than being held up for 'quality control' purposes but if you call they may be able to tell you whether it's just yours or the whole batch.

Anyone from 7th feb general training test?

Received this morning and picked up the form! Apparently it was the whole center (Calgary) that got checked. In these scenarios they need to provide resolution dates. Listening: 9.0 Reading: 9.0 Writing: 8.5 Speaking: 9.0 Overall: 9.0

Anyone from 7th feb general training test?

Still nothing, very unfortunate since it's quite urgent. Center have no idea how long this will take.

Anyone from 7th feb general training test?

Anyone not able to view their score due to 'quality control purposes'?!?

    WES - EVALUATION

I echo this advance, it's not worth calling up and you'll almost certainly get no new information. Tick boxes now removed, 'Documents received - review in progress.'.

Why Canada .. Why Not Australia?

Oh it's extortionate but then salaries do compensation, the minimum wage is $16ph. I was surprised that food costs were roughly comparable, as are rents and flights. Clothes are much cheaper in Canada, cars massively.

Brilliant thanks - status is now 'evaluation in progress'.

    Great PR Advice from CIC

Actually it has to be sub-600 once they run out of LMIA and PNP candidates right? There is an element of this that is counter-intuitive - 889 is only 289 without the LMIA / PNP. Are they the best candidates? I'm on IEC and have a skilled job but with around 450 it's going to be a long wait.

Does anyone else have 'not received' next to their transcript despite them receiving it two weeks back? I called up and they said they'd received it.

    Reference Letters

Yep, although since it's in Australia that can be challenging. I guess I wondered if it was black and white.
