Even though the sponsor of a spouse is a Canadian citizen (neutralized), the Visa Office requested from CPC to check the status of the sponsor in Canada! If the sponsor has already been approved 2 years ago, why do they want to review the sponsor again? Is this part of a final review?

I think they ask for SLK ID when the sponsor submits the application CIC (country specific form). Perhaps you forgot to submit it, so they are now asking. It is a good sign, it means they started to review the application. Good luck.

It is normal that they ask you to submit Schedule A from 18 years old because this form needs to be updated. Now, they will start processing your spouse's application. Sit back and wait.

The global processing time (all countries) is 17 months. The "normal" processing time for 80 % of the applicants at Colombo is less than 9 months. The remaining 20 %, well, no one knows how long before they get their visa.
