    April 2014 Application

Hello I finally landed last Friday at Prescott (Ottawa), and the process is pretty straightforward. I just showed CPR and my passport, and no other documents were asked. The officer at the border took my work permit from my passport and attached the CoPR document instead. Now I am waiting...

    April 2014 Application

Thanks a lot! I am from a visa exempt country, but do I have to go out of Canada and cross the border once I receive COPR? I applied for PR from within Canada and am currently residing in Canada. But do I have to do the landing process to activate the PR? Thanks and all the best to everyone...

Not sure. I hadn't logged in for the last few days, and have just found out the change. Maybe some time between the last couple of days.

    April 2014 Application

I think that's normal. You just have to print it out, and fill in all the information. Then scan and email it to CIC. See: http://cectoolkit.weebly.com/faqs/how-can-i-pay-the-right-of-permanent-residence-rprf-fee-upfront

    2014 April Applicant & 2nd Review - PGWP Expiring - Everything due 2015/05

If I were you, I'd apply for BOWP while waiting for PR. I am also an April applicant, and based on the recent GCMS notes my eligibility status is "recommend passed"; and I also did upfront medicals. My current work permit expires in late May. I thought that I should be able to get PR before...

How long do GCMS notes take to come nowadays?

That's a bit strange. I requested my GCMS notes on Feb 16, and received yesterday.

    April 2014 Application

A quick question: I've just paid RPRF online (without request), and received an online receipt. I wonder where to email it? After searching online, I got this email address: CPPO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca. Is this a right one? Or as other requested documents, should it be sent to...

At what stage medicals is requested?

Yeah, I agree. I've noticed that medicals are requested usually after eligibility assessment.

I haven't received medicals -- I did upfront medicals as I became so impatient. And I am not accompanying my husb -- he's a Canadian citizen. Thanks for the advice.

You're awesome! I've just found notes (in my GCMS) saying they received copy of the requested document. Thanks a lot!

    April 2014 Application

I have just received GCMS notes that I requested Feb 18. The notes say "RECOMMENDATION: Appear to meet requirements". The only issue they had: "NOTES: Requesting proof of CDN Cit for spouse" My concern is however that they didn't seem to have received my husband's birth certificate. They...

    April 2014 Application

The first request sounds indeed a bit confusing, given your current situation. If I were you, I would provide both letters (one from your old employer and the other from your current employer), along with a brief explanatory letter. It may be that CIC simply wanted to make sure if you're not...

    April 2014 Application

I am not sure if it helps, but I also did upfront medicals, and emailed CIC the e-medical information sheet just in case. I haven't received MR, but my ECAS status has been updated "Medicals received". I've seen some cases in other threads that some who did upfront medicals have still received...
