if you have a valid reason to study and adding strong points in SOP, 7 yr gap doesnt matter.. your profile is nice, all you do is adding some additional letters like reference letter from your employer and college or your professor..

your profile good to go, but the most important is your IELTS score, i will suggest you try to improve IELTS and in the meanwhile aply for caips.. to get exact reason for your refusal and the things mentioned will do well in your visa file and remember this time go for general checklist.

charn check again, Undergraduate level is min-5.5 and overall- 6 but post grad is min -6 and over all-6.5

why you people depend upon consultants only ??? only $40 lagne si tere and you will get to know exact reason. so in the another attempt you can amend those mistakes or cover up them with some additional documents.
