I recommend you carry proof of funds even if they are in the USA or any other country (as long as they are in your name). Immigration officer has right to deny you entry/landing if you fail to produce POF. it could also be possible that they don't ask you for POF. As per CIC website minimum...

Thanks!!! I got request for passport on March 18 but I had some things to do then. Passports arrived at CPC on March 26. Return Tracker activated on April 13. hope everyone gets it soon. we may all cross paths in Canada soon ;) ;) ;)

Insurance will technically cover your cost depending on if doctor is in your insurance network. But most doctors won't accept payment by insurance for immigration purposes as they don't get full price for their services & will cause delays in sending your information over since most insurances...

I think I read on one of these forums where people just printed PPR email & gave cover letter to local visa office (in your case will be CPC-O) explaining change of physical location with passports. CPC-O should be able to issue you a visa without any problems. good luck to you :)

few days after passport request (in some cases few days before passport request) your status will change from "In Process" to "Decision Made". it has no bearing on passport sent. you just got to wait ::) ::) ::)
