Hornby St is the office for landing. They seem to schedule about 6 landings per hour. You go in with your documents and proof of payment. They usher you into another room and when they call your name you go to whatever counter (1, 2, or 3) they call you too. They ask if you are still married, if...

Landing done today!!! They said 8 week wait for PR card and I have to wait until then for an SIN. I am going to stop by Service Canada anyway and try.

To be honest the only photos I had to submit originally were pics of things as proof of my relationship! And the doctor took the pic at the medical exam.

I have to bring 2 photos. It looks like they are basically passport size photos?

I got my AIP and DM last week together. AOR was May 2013. So, extra special long.

I am not really sure. I don't really trust the call centre eithet which sucks because that is our main source of info. I do understand conditions in the backlog change day to day but to hear "1 month" and then "5-6 months" a week later is unsettling.

I *still* have a love/hate relationship with the call centre. Last week they said Vancouver landing office timeline was a month for the landing interview. Today they said 5-6. I never feel like I can get a straight answer.

Let's see more AIPs and DMs this week! Also, will the Van landing interview people call or email me a date? Do they give you a few days notice?

Isn't ecas updated once every two weeks so you are more likely to see stuff in your email first? Also, do they call or email or snail mail in regards to the landing interview date?

I just talked to the Call Centre and they said the Vancouver office is a month or less currently on landing interviews! What happens at that interview? After that I just wait to get my PR card? I'm so happy I could pee! all this is so exciting!

It's on lock down because I don't think they've caught all suspects or are sure if there are more. The federal seat of government being attacked is a huge deal. Especially given that 2 soldiers were run down in Quebec this week!
