You don't have to write why you weren't employed. Just writing "Unemployed" should be enough. I wrote "Unemployed - Looking for job" Just to provide little detail as to what I was doing during that period.

In the instruction guide it says: If you were not working because you were studying, unemployed, retired, a caregiver, homemaker or volunteering for any part of this time, provide that information, including the location.

I had few months of unemployment after finishing school. I personally wrote Unemployed/Looking for a job .. and wrote my home address, and NA for contact name, phone, and email. No need for an explanation letter since they tell you to write unemployed if you weren't working.

I have the same question, where my study permit and work permit dates "overlap" .. I am not sure whether to put whatever dates they put on the permit, or whether I should put the dates according the calculator.

Tracker activated!!

It's very frustrating. Still waiting.

I am also in Ottawa. Mine was sent on the 20th.

Final decision: This application has been approved. The magic status. Still waiting for the tracker to be activated. Had a trip planned for September 1st, gonna have to delay that few days.

MyCIC .. where it usually says (Submitted - Read) It now says (Approved - Read) - Still says final decision (Not Started) No emails yet.

I am guessing you got approved on the 23rd? But either way, congrats on getting your passport back. I did the same thing as you, I am due to travel on beginning of September, I hope the letter helps. PP sent on the 20th. Received on the 21st. Still waiting for an approval and it being sent back.

I've been on decision made since August 10th, still no PPR. I'm beginning to get very worried. The wait for PPR is even harder now, even though I know my application was approved according to call centre agent. No sure what's the hold up.
