Citizenship Ceremony- Not Started Status (since last 3 months)

Same here. Applied April 2020, DM since August 20 from Vancouver office, no oath ceremony date. They should honestly refund us the $700 something we paid for this shitty service, if they give me my money back, they can take all the time they want because I simply don't care anymore.

    Changing province before oath ceremony

Hi everyone! I am an April 2020 applicant and my ecas status was updated to DM on August 23, no oath invitation yet. I am planning on moving from BC to Quebec next month and I am wondering if I should change my address or just keep it as it is since the oath ceremony is virtual and I don't have...

Citizenship test "How Much do you know about your Government?"

I did not get any province specific questions in my test and most people around the forum have reported the same thing.

    February 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

OP already got his AOR and is in the system, so sending a new application is bad idea. I would just wait as there were many applicants who never got their status updated but their applications were moving along.

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Couldn't get through the phone. I sent a webform and got the same old generic reply that everyone gets, ie we are working on applications received before January 14 blah blah. If IRCC is this disorganized in their work and how they process applications, I don't think they should be charging us...

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

April 9 from Winnipeg no AOR Worse yet, I moved from Winnipeg to Vancouver 2 months ago and have no idea if my application was returned to Winnipeg or no! Contacted IRCC but nobody has a clue. They're the worst!

    May 2020 - Citizenship Application

Read on multiple threads that a lot of single applicants got their AOR eventhough they didn't write their names on the back of the pictures. I think that's only a problem if you apply as a family in which case IRCC doesn't know which picture goes with which application.

CBC news update about oath ceremonies and tests

The problem we are facing here is how powerful and strong the The Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) is. As mbv747 mentioned above, why are driving knowledge tests allowed and not citizenship tests? I would imagine that both tests are more or less administered the same way, that is...

Citizenship Application Delays: Letter to MP

Yes please do. I am with you on this one. The only thing is, since the parliament has been prorogued until September 24th. Why don't we all just send these letters directly to the minister of immigration. I would hope that'll get him thinking about this issue after getting bombarded by all the...

Citizenship Application Delays: Letter to MP

I don't think the purpose of this is to get IRCC to process all the applications right away. Everyone understands there are cases that are more urgent in nature and those should be dealt with first. We just want some clarity and transparency from IRCC. People want to know what to expect. When...

    March 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi! Sorry to hear about your application being returned. Hope all goes well for you. I am just wondering if they returned it in the same Canada Post envelope you sent it in or did they use a new one? I am asking because I submitted my application back in March and haven't received AOR yet and I...
