    proof of funds - question

    I live in Canada on PR, and my friend is applying for PR. Question 1: does my friend has to submit proof of funds while submitting application? Question 2: Can I give a letter (with bank statement) to CIC along with application saying that I and sponsoring funds to my friend? advance Thanks njvr
