Interesting, then how can they catch people who overstay? Just checked, CIC's new rules seem to suggest the study permit automatically expires 90 days after you're done with school, so I guess there is no need to surrender it.

you already landed as a FSW PR, why would you need a study permit? anyways, it's not difficult, just provide your passport and UCI maybe. I have a friend who got his replacement SP from YYZ airport.

I think so. But maybe you should check with your school/dept first. They should be able to give you good enough documents to apply for SIN.

My application was not successful due to insufficient funds -- please update the tracker if possible. Bank account balance has fallen short of the requirement during recent months and there's that.... Lastly, hope all PhDs (& other applicants) here will get your PR successfully, best of luck!!!

How long is it taking for you? When I used it, it seems to be the fastest option out there (UofT will take way longer).

I think your applications should be *** received by CIO *** before or on Dec 31 if I'm not mistaken. You might want to Fedex it by mid-Dec due to holiday delays. I won't advise you send it after Dec 20.

Thank God! Finally found the photocopies and saw all trips were indeed included. It'd be too illogical to not include it as passport stamps are right there. Got tensed too easily these days... Should relax as I'll have medical exam tomorrow!
