I agree with vpatkhag comments. Submit HIGH school certificate ( must be having either parents name included) as a proof of DOB. Explain in cover letter that you do not ave birth certificate and you are providing secondary school certificate as a proof of DOB. This is what i did in my case...

Yes, exactly. ECAS updates is the only confirmation that medicals ( including any review )has been passed.

Hi Vishal, My medicals were under review and this took ~120 days for review completion and ECAS update with medicals results received. You are correct with 120 days estimate. Just thought of confirming the same , since i went through the similar phase.
