Are you the sponsor or the applicant? Before we got AIP I (the applicant) wasn't able to get any information on the file, because I wasn't authorized to inquire about his file. The sponsor has his/her own UCI with which they can contact CIC about the current status. Did you try that?

Hi Mela, You haven't heard anything since 13.5 months ago? Did you get AIP in the meantime? Why was your file transferred to Manitoba? That is a really long time to wait for first stage approval. Have you called CIC?

I agree with that. We sent in a complete package and we still have the second longest waiting time between AIP and DM (161 days). I found it really distressing to see applicants land who had applied months after us. But who knows why it took them this long. I am just glad I didn't have to redo...

But you never know with immigration Canada! Haha, I am so relieved now. It has been so long (15 months) and I was almost going crazy, but now it's almost over. Can't wait for this landing letter to arrive..
