    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi everyone! So, my immigration journey is over (at least until 2019). Today I received my PR card in the mail. It "only" took one year and 7.5 months for the whole process to unfold. My landing interview on July 2nd went smooth, and I already paid my first "Canadian" tuition (a third of the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Thanks again for your advice! Will I get the COPR at the landing interview? Do they ask me at the landing interview which address I want the card to be sent to? Because if so, I'd just give them my new address instead of my in-law's. If not, I'd probably need to pay to get it forwarded. Do PR...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Thank you computergeek! I am German, so I assume I can leave the country with no hassle. I will check at landing, though. Another problem is, that we are currently buying a house, which means that I will have to change my address with CIC yet again. I hope this time they will get it right..

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions: I have my landing date next Wednesday (hooray!), but from what I've heard CIC (also) takes forever to send you your PR card. Does this mean I can't travel until I have received the card? I am currently a temporary resident with a valid student visa...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi frenchwapiti, My meds were done in October 2012 and I had received AIP in November 2013 and DM in April 2014 without having to redo the meds. I suspect that they only make you redo them if there were any health issues to begin with that would need further screening. You should be fine as...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I just received my landing letter ;D! My interview is on July 2nd, which means I will have to reschedule a surgery appointment :-\. I guess it could be worse... It also says in the letter that my appointment is between 1 am and 2 pm :o. I suspect that was a typo.. Thanks everyone for your...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Are you the sponsor or the applicant? Before we got AIP I (the applicant) wasn't able to get any information on the file, because I wasn't authorized to inquire about his file. The sponsor has his/her own UCI with which they can contact CIC about the current status. Did you try that?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi Mela, You haven't heard anything since 13.5 months ago? Did you get AIP in the meantime? Why was your file transferred to Manitoba? That is a really long time to wait for first stage approval. Have you called CIC?

Anyone want to join a thread for people applying in the near future?

Hello all, As someone who has gone through this process (and is almost done as I just got DM yesterday), I would like to share my experience. When we applied, we only submitted about 20 photos of us. These included pictures of us with our respective families and they were from different years...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I agree with that. We sent in a complete package and we still have the second longest waiting time between AIP and DM (161 days). I found it really distressing to see applicants land who had applied months after us. But who knows why it took them this long. I am just glad I didn't have to redo...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

But you never know with immigration Canada! Haha, I am so relieved now. It has been so long (15 months) and I was almost going crazy, but now it's almost over. Can't wait for this landing letter to arrive..

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

OK, so I read up on it (I am a little bit out of the loop..). I guess my application will remain in Vegreville as it is being processed since November. But why is it not being finalized? Maybe they are just abandoning the old office and not processing old files. Haha :'(. I wish I knew what...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Wait, so what is happening? They are transferring files from Vegreville to Mississauga? Why? What if files get lost? Ahhh, I am freaking out!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hello all, I hope you are all doing well. I have seen that a lot of the 2013ers have gotten their DM and I congratulate all of you. After getting AIP in November I still haven't heard back from CIC and I am getting so anxious and I keep thinking something went wrong and they are going to deny...

Calgarians - Please help a student :) OT

Dear fellow Calgarian applicants, I have an OT request for you. I am currently working on a term project which involves speech elicitation from a language consultant who speaks a language that I am not familiar with. I know that some of you are a little bit stressed about staying at home all...
